Have Your Say!
2-3-2022
In a continuing effort to make sure everyone has an opportunity to have a say on plans for
the New Windsor/Essex Acute Care Hospital, Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) has launched an
online engagement platform and a series of
virtual town halls.
Starting today, members of the public can go to the
Together We Build engagement site at TogetherWeBuild.wrh.on.ca to get informed, ask questions, complete surveys, and share ideas for the layout and design of 11 program and services areas in the new hospital - such as Emergency Services, the Cancer Centre and Paediatrics. The platform has direct links to upcoming Virtual Town Halls, where hospital leaders, planners, frontline staff, and patient representatives will provide an update on the work being done in each of the project areas and answer questions.
"I have never seen this level of public engagement at this early stage in hospital planning," said Project Director Paul Landry, who has helped plan some of Canada’s largest new hospitals in the past decade. "The new hospital belongs to everyone and it’s exciting to see the entire community invited to give input and help guide decisions our planning teams are making as they work on its design and layout."
How to Have Your Say!
Visit TogetherWeBuild.wrh.on.ca to:
- Register for a Virtual Town Hall (see dates below)
- Take our surveys asking for your feedback on the design of different hospital areas
- Share your own ideas for the design of those areas
- Ask a question (We’ll answer!)
- Subscribe to our newsletter
Because of COVID-19, all the events are virtual at this time. To ensure everyone has access to the platform and an opportunity to participate, WRH is working with the Windsor Public Library and Essex County Library systems to help promote the engagement site and maximize participation. Public Computers are available at all library locations throughout Windsor and Essex County.
Paper copies of the online survey are also available. Contact Allison Johnson, Manager of Communications and Community Engagement by phone at 519-254-5577 x 37922 or email
Allison.Johnson@wrh.on.ca to request a copy.
