Together We Build - Review and Summary of Town Hall Meetings and Public Feedback - August 29, 2022

The Together We Build Engagement Campaign invited community members to learn more, ask questions and provide input into the design of 11 different program and service-specific areas in the new hospital. This document provides an overview of the engagement process and the resulting feedback.
Stage 2 Community Engagement Strategy Plan - December 2020

The plan identifies Engagement Principles and a framework outlining levels of community participation. The document includes a decision-making model with the site and program-specific Public Advisory Groups that will provide input on different aspects of the project.

Fairness Advisor Report - July 17, 2015

Following the completion of the site selection process, Fairness Advisor Glenn Ackerly, who monitored the process released this report stating he had no reservations or concerns about the outcome of the process from a fairness perspective. He commended the hospital and its advisors for the manner in which the process was undertaken.
Stage 1A and 1B Documents

Planning for the Windsor-Essex Hospitals System is a 5-stage process. The Program and Services Steering Committee has submitted a proposal for Stage 1A & 1B – The Master Plan - to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) and has received approval to move forward with planning.
Task Force Report - November 30, 2012

In April 2012, Finance Minister Dwight Duncan created the Windsor Hospitals Study Task Force to examine the possibility and need for a new regional acute care hospital to replace current facilities. Their final report recommends moving forward immediately with planning for a new hospital.
