Photo Opportunity - PET/CT Scan
A new PET/CT Scanner that will provide state-of-the-art diagnostics for cancer patients will be installed this Friday.
The 53-foot long, 8-feet wide structure containing the scanner, weighing 68,000 pounds altogether, will be backed into its new home at the south side of Met Campus adjacent to the Cancer Centre. It will be delivered on a 53-foot trailer. Neighbours have already been notified about potential temporary disruptions, particularly along Alsace Ave., during the installation process, which is expected to take about four hours.
Media are asked to contact us in advance before arriving so that we can secure a proper location for anyone looking for visuals (photography or video).
DATE: Friday, April 26, 2019
TIME: The process is expected to take from 8 am to Noon.
LOCATION: Cancer Centre (south side of Met Campus).
