WE-SPARK Intro to Knowledge Translation Workshop
Learn how to share your project outcomesHave you heard about knowledge translation (KT) but aren’t sure what it is exactly? Leave the KT section of your grant application until the end because you’re not sure where to start or how to plan? Then this the workshop for you!
WE-SPARK Health Institute is hosting an introductory KT 101 Workshop, open to all levels and research backgrounds.
“Knowledge translation is an important process of information exchange between researchers or experts in a field, and knowledge users,” says Adriana Baggio, Knowledge Translation Coordinator, WE-SPARK Health Institute. “It’s about taking what we learn and making it available and accessible for use in practice, learning, planning and policy-making. Simply put, it translates knowledge into real-world application.”
The workshop will review the concepts of knowledge translation, help build a KT toolkit, and offer guidance on how to start a KT plan. Participants will leave with a KT 101 Checklist to use as a reference for future projects.
The virtual session is part of WE-SPARK’s Knowledge Translation Workshop Series and will be held at 12 noon Friday May 28, via Microsoft Teams. Everyone welcome.
