Changes to Ouellette Campus Main Lobby

Effective.Tuesday,.September.22nd, all staff who are entering the Ouellette Campus from the ground level must enter from an access door around the corner from the main entrance. The sliding doors will be available only to patients and visitors. The upper-level entrance off the parking garage remains open to staff.
This is part of a rearrangement of the main entrance at the Ouellette Campus (Goyeau entrance) to accommodate more visitors and patients, giving them more space inside the lobby while waiting to get screened, rather than having them wait closer to the main doors or in a lineup outside, as we approach the colder winter months.
A screening station will be located inside the building to ensure that all staff are screened. Signage has been ordered to clearly indicate where staff, patients and visitors are to enter and exit.
As part of these changes, construction started in the lobby area last week. This will include a temporary wall and the removal of the security desk from the entrance area.
You will also notice that a new entrance to the admitting department has been created; the old entrance will be sealed up this week as well. Access to Tim Horton's, the Pharmacy, and DI will be maintained throughout the transition.
