Congratulations to WRH Foundation Board Member Shrenik Parikh

The Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation is thrilled to learn that board member Shrenik Parikh is one of this year’s Healthcare Champions, sponsored by Lerners LLP, resulting in a $5,000 donation to the foundation.
The award recognizes hardworking individuals and organizations that go above and beyond the call of duty to assist injured people, their families, volunteer their time and energy in the community and rally their community for good.
Parikh, a pharmacist, moved to Canada in 2007 and joined the India Canada Association of Windsor and Essex County. He became a member of the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation board in 2019 and has worked tirelessly on several fundraising initiatives which has supported the purchase of a high-tech 3D mammography machine and Glidescopes to assist patients to breathe.
“I’m so excited. I’m humbled to have been selected as the Lerners Healthcare Champion of Ontario, Canada” said Shrenik Parikh. “When I came to Canada in the year 2007, I had already instilled in me the concept of service and I was fortunate to connect with like-minded individuals.”
He says he is passionate in helping to provide the best healthcare services possible to the Windsor-Essex community.
“I look forward to working with Windsor Regional Hospital in the years to come, to establish a state-of-art acute care hospital for our region. Thank you to the community for being a source of inspiration and motivation,” he says.
Parikh was nominated by WRH Director of Philanthropy Gisele Seguin and Manager of Philanthropy Cristina Naccarato in January 2021.
During the selection process, Shrenik was named one of 25 finalists for the award which led to a community vote over several weeks including a video endorsement from Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens who encouraged people to vote. The top 5 finishers won.
“He is certainly a champion in our opinion,” said Seguin. “He is passionate about helping the community and he has been an invaluable member of the foundation board. Thank you to everyone who voted for Shrenik.”
The award recipients were revealed during a virtual gala on April 15th, 2021.
