WRH Gradually Resumes Non-Urgent Surgeries

The Ontario government has lifted Directive #2, which restricted elective/non-urgent surgeries and procedures amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Windsor Regional Hospital is implementing a plan to gradually ramp up surgeries and procedures based on Ontario Health guidelines.
As of Feb. 15, 2022, there are 4,194 individuals waiting for a surgical date at WRH.
When Directive #2 was initiated on January 4, 2022, there were 3,452 individuals waiting for a surgical date.
Patients will be notified directly by their physician or surgeon’s office regarding newly scheduled surgical dates.
We ask for your patience as we gradually ramp back up over the next several months.
