National Day of Truth & Reconciliation
This year, the federal government designated September 30 as a National Day of Truth and Reconciliation - a day to recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools.
Since 2013, this date has also been known as Orange Shirt Day in recognition of the tragic history and impact of residential schools. Everyone is encouraged to wear orange on Thursday, September 30, 2021 to show your support for residential school survivors and their families.
