Hanuman Jayanti is a festival that celebrates the birth of the Hindu diety Hanuman. Hanuman is worshipped as a deity with the ability to gain victory over evil and provide protection. Hindus often visit the temple to offer prayers to celebrate this day with early morning prayers. They may also apply the red tilak on the forehead of the Hanuman idol, participate in hymns and prayers, and following this, apply the rend sindoor on their foreheads.
