EVENT DETAILS:
Akshaya Tritiya (Hindu & Jain)
Akshaya Tritiya (also known as Akti or Akha Teej) is an annual Hindu and Jain spring festival. It falls on the third lunar day of the Vaisakha month. It symbolizes “third day of unending prosperity” for new ventures, marriages, investments, and any new beginnings. It is especially significant for women who may distribute spourts, fresh fruits, and Indian sweets for the wellbeing of the men in their lives. Jain individuals may drink sugar cane juice on this day to finish their year-long alternative day fasting.
