EVENT DETAILS:
Holy Thursday (Christian, Coptic, and Eastern Orthodox Christian)
The week leading up to Easter is called the Holy Week and includes Palm Sunday (when Jesus entered Jerusalem), Maundy Thursday (the “Last Supper” where Jesus met with his disciples to observe Passover), and Good Friday.
Because the Orthodox Christian Church follows the Julian calendar, the dates for Orthodox Good Friday and Easter follow the Gregorian (or generally observed) dates. This year, the dates will coincide.
This is a significant time period for many Christians.
