Run for WindsorWINDSOR, ON_ After taking a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Run for Windsor made its return to Malden Park this past May.

Organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association, the 2024 run raised $30,750.

“With their motto of Love for All, Hatred for None, the Amadiyya Muslim Elders Association worked tirelessly to bring together the community, as they united for their most successful run to date,” says Ashley Weeres, Interim Executive Director, Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation.

“It's support like this from our community that helps Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation ensure that our health care professionals have access to the latest tools and technologies to help keep our community healthy. We are so thankful for your support.”

The event featured a 1.5km ‘fun run’ and a 5km race along with door prizes and activities for the whole family. Over 500 people participated in the 2024 run.

“We’re looking forward to raising more funds and awareness for our current hospital and new, acute care hospital,” says Dr. Nauman Iftikhar, member of the Amadiyya Muslim Elders Association.

To date, Run for Windsor has raised $78,250 for Windsor Regional Hospital.
