WRH Takes Home Healthy Workplace Award

Windsor Regional Hospital’s newly revamped Workplace Wellness Program is getting noticed!
The hospital has been presented with a platinum-level Healthy Workplace Award - the highest level of award given out at the 2022 Gord Smith Healthy Workplace Awards hosted by the Working Toward Wellness (WTW) Workplace Wellness Committee.
The awards are handed out each year in an effort to recognize local employers providing comprehensive workplace wellness programs for the benefit of their employees while maintaining the highest standards when it comes to Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC), occupational health and safety and mental health programming. Award recipients must demonstrate a strong commitment toward improving health by promoting and supporting an all-inclusive approach to wellness programming for employees and their family members — and Windsor Regional Hospital has done just that!
Our refreshed Workplace Wellness Program officially got underway in May 2022 and has seen tremendous success with the majority of sessions and events fully booked. The program provides a wide range of activities for staff and their families with the main focus being improving and maintaining physical and mental health.
With everything from yoga and music in the courtyard to cooking classes and kayaking, the program came at a much-needed time as hospital staff were feeling the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic.
