Quite the honour for a long time Windsor Regional Hospital employee!

RN Diane Hernandez is one of the latest recipients of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Community Hero Award!

At a recent ceremony, Diane received her pin from Windsor-Tecumseh MP Irek Kusmierczyk who had this to say in a social media post:

“Diane has made our community a better place through her career & passionate volunteer work at countless organizations. During the pandemic, she worked as a registered nurse at Windsor Regional Hospital supporting patients & her team throughout the crisis. Selfless dedication.”

Since joining Windsor Regional Hospital in 2003, Diane has been a staple in providing exceptional patient care serving in several roles including as a frontline staff, Clinical Practice Manager and most recently with the Learning & Workplace Development team focused on clinical training.

Outside of the hospital, Diane has given her time to many organizations including Make-A-Wish Southwestern Ontario as a volunteer since 2004.

Congratulations Diane - you deserve it!
